Brown Babies n’ Books Presents: Storytime with Author Janelle Harper

Join us for a special family-friendly event featuring Bronx author Janelle Harper, as she shares her beloved children’s books My Block Looks Like and her newest release Salon Saturday.

Each ticket includes a book bundle with both titles, an engaging storytime, and a meet & greet with book signing by Janelle Harper.

Following storytime, master stylist Candace Witherspoon will lead a live in-person hair lesson. Known for her expertise in natural curly hair of all textures, Candace will walk us through a wash-and-go styling technique on a live model. She’ll share product recommendations, styling tools, and drying methods that make curls thrive.

We know it can feel overwhelming to care for your child’s curls — this is your chance to learn directly from one of the best in the game. Come ready to take notes, ask questions, and leave with the confidence and knowledge to keep your little one looking and feeling proud of their natural hair.
