Enjoy live music nature walks educational booths and much, much more. Connect with like-minded individuals and learn how you can make a positive impact on our planet. This year's theme is "Our Planet Our Responsibility." We invite our guests to focus on clean energy sources and methods with an understanding of which green actions they can take to contribute to conservation and community resilience. Together we take responsibility and together we make a difference.
Our Earth Day features:
- Nature hikes and kayaking around the natural mangrove areas of the park
- Food trucks
- Live music from The Swamp Blues Band
- 15 exhibitors with hands-on activities and information about conservation and environmental action
- Art displays from our annual Youth Plastic Waste Art Contest with judging and prizes announced on site
- Amazing guest speakers and four 1-hour Native Plant workshops hosted by Urban Paradise Guild
- All ages are welcome, free parking
Inside the Mangrove Hall our esteemed presenters include:
- The Xavier Cortada Foundation: Adam Roberti will speak about using eco-art to engage communities and to generate environmental awareness and actions concerning climate change sea level rise and biodiversity loss.
- The Fruitful Field Urban Farm: Farm Manager Noah Siegel will share an overview of Regenerative Agriculture techniques and their importance in creating a path to sustainability.
- Our keynote speaker Dr. David Davis Ph.D research professor and associate director of the Brain Endowment Bank at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. Dr. Davis will discuss his work on the negative potential effects of plastic on the human brain. He is a featured researcher in the documentary film We're All Plastic People Now on PBS.
- The Rethinking Waste panel discussion with community leaders dedicated to exploring sustainable waste solutions and addressing the future of waste reduction in Broward County. This panel includes moderator Susan Steinhauser of the Broward/WPB Climate Reality Project Lauderhill Commissioner Melissa P. Dunn Broward County Mayor Beam Furr Miami Sierra Club's Steven Leidner Miami Sierra Club's Noel Cleland Hollywood Commissioner Caryl Shuham and Richard Ramcharitar Lead Organizer from Broward Clean Air.

The Swamp Blues Band ventures into the Florida Everglades for forgotten stories and songs myth and legend as told by first-hand accounts of the pioneer families who call it home.
