On January 3rd at 8:30 a.m., the brothers of Fidalgo Lodge #77 gather for breakfast. Everyone and anyone is welcome to join us. No ceremony, no speeches, just good food and better company.
We take over the long table near the back, where the coffee stays hot and the conversation wanders freely. One minute it is boat engines, the next it is local mysteries, and somewhere in between someone will insist the ferry schedule is part of a cosmic prank. The stories are half true, the laughter is real, and the biscuits disappear faster than anyone admits.
If you show up, someone will make room, someone else will hand you a menu, and before long you will feel like you have been part of this tradition for years.
