At 10am on Sunday, experience a recreation of Lafayette’s 1824 visit, during which he was made an honorary Lodge member. The event includes historic speeches and a unique ceremony before a procession to St. George's Episcopal Church for a noon service.
At 2pm on Sunday, Historian Chris Ruli will provide a lecture on his forthcoming book, “Brother Lafayette” which examines the Marquis’ connection to the ancient Masonic fraternity including a detailed account of how American Freemasons extended a heartfelt welcome to a fellow brother of the Mystic Tie. Signed copies will be available for purchase.
From 1 to 4pm on both Saturday and Sunday, tour George Washington’s Mother Lodge for an exploration of this historic fraternity’s importance to Brother Lafayette.
