Welcome to the Annual Brookes Battle Strongman Contest! Prepare to witness an inspiring display of strength, determination, and compassion as mighty individuals come together to make a difference in the world. This extraordinary event combines the thrilling spectacle of strongman with the heartwarming mission of supporting Brooke’s Love Campaign.
Brooke was born as a healthy baby girl. At 4 months old she developed persistent 105 degree fevers. After a month being hospitalized at Children's Hospital she was diagnosed with HLH. Hemophagocytic lymphohistiocytosis (HLH) is a life-threatening disease characterized by dysregulated immune activity resulting in malignant inflammation and multi-organ failure. Brooke needed a bone marrow transplant. Brooke received her bone marrow transplant on December 30th, 2022. But weeks after her first birthday, Brooke physically left this world on February 23rd, 2023. In her short life, she made an impact on hundreds of thousand people via her story being told on social media. We spent a total of 9 months living in the hospital and our mission is to help other families that are in similar situations. 100% of the proceeds will go towards helping other families.
Brookes Battle this year is Unsanctioned. This means there are no sanctioning fees we have to pay and no membership fees that you, the athletes, have to pay. 100% of every dollar will go towards the children and their families that are spending their Christmas in patient care at Childrens, not spending their Christmas at home. Last year we were able to donate baskets full of items to the Children's Hospital of Wisconsin, the same hospital where we lived with Brooke for over half of her life here on earth.

Event 1 - Truck Pull
This will be a harnessed truck pull with Rope assist. Fastest time to pull the vehicle over a 50’ course wins. 60 Second time limit. More details of the vehicles will be released closer to the event.
Event 2 - Yoke Overhead Press for reps
Athletes will press a Yoke overhead for max reps in 60 seconds. Athletes must wait for the judges down command at lockout with elbows locked, head through and feet together. Any style of pressing is allowed. Athletes must return the yoke back down to shoulders between reps, it does not have to touch the ground. Unnecessary dropping of the yoke will range from a warning, rep taken away to a zero depending on Judge’s discretion. If we cannot find a yoke light enough for your weight class, you will be using an axle to clean & press away for reps.
Event 3 - Mammoth bar Hummer Tire Deadlift for reps
Athletes will deadlift a mammoth bar loaded with a combination of tires & plates depending on contest weight from the ground to full standing position for max reps in 60 seconds. Athletes may strap in before time starts but if taking too long, the judge may start the timer. There will be UP & DOWN commands. No dropping the bar from full lockout. Full lockout is defined as knees/hips/shoulders locked out. Failure to follow commands will result in no reps. Standard, figure 8 and extra long straps are allowed as well as briefs/suits. The pull height will be from roughly 14"
Event 4 - Yoke into Fingal's Finger for reps
Athletes will carry a yoke, however they choose, until the front of the yoke breaks the 40’ line and then flip a Fingal's Finger for reps. Scoring will be determined by yoke distance and how many flips you get in 60 seconds. Finger must land within the time limit to count as a rep. There will be spotters with crash pads and we will always sway towards the safety of our athletes.
Event 5 - The Impossible Bag toss medley
Athletes will have 60 seconds to toss as many bags as possible over a bar. This will be a 10 bag series and athletes can throw the bags in any order they would like. If you fail a bag, you can go to a different bag but you may only carry one bag at a time. The bags will be lined up 15’ from the apparatus from lightest to heaviest. The most bags over the bar wins or whoever finishes the medley the fastest. Teen Classes & Novice women will have a 10’ bar, open women & novice men will have a 13’ bar and open men 15’ bar.
Event details are subject to change upon equipment testing. We will be running a two lane contest where everyone will do Truck pull first and then split into Group A and Group B to flip flop events to ensure a smooth and time efficient contest. Groups will be divided the week of the contest and announced.

Awards will be given to the top 3 in each class.
