Broker Responsibility Course (Course #50498) – 6 CE Hours
This six-hour continuing education course fulfills the Broker Responsibility requirement for supervising licensees—both brokers and agents—who oversee other license holders within a brokerage.
The course provides an in-depth review of the regulatory framework surrounding brokerage management in Texas, including key provisions from the Real Estate License Act (Chapter 1101 of the Texas Occupations Code) and TREC Rules (22 TAC Chapter 535). Participants will gain a comprehensive understanding of their fiduciary responsibilities, the law of agency, and the critical role supervision plays in ensuring compliance and ethical business practices.
Additionally, this course covers essential topics such as business planning and organizational structures, operational regulations, and risk management strategies. Attendees will also examine the complaint process with the Texas Real Estate Commission (TREC), learning how to navigate regulatory challenges effectively.
Important: Sales agents who have been designated as Supervisors by their broker are also required to complete this course as part of their CE requirements.
Upon successful completion, attendees will receive 6 CE credit hours and a certificate of completion.
