Stand-up comic Betsy Cox drags the audience through her batshit Louisiana upbringing, bringing her family to life through punchline-packed character work and raw storytelling. From poverty, to the humiliation of undiagnosed ADHD, she spins tragedy into comedy that’s brutally honest, wildly funny, and unexpectedly empowering — a fearless solo show that’s as inspiring as it is balls-out.
At its core, Broke Bitch Got Rich is about resilience: breaking out of the boxes you’re told to fit in, and finding power in your weirdness. It’s brutally funny and deeply human — a “fucked-up fairy tale Disney would never buy.”
