Location: AIM Melbourne, 120 King St, Melbourne VIC 3000

What will you do in the Music Theatre Workshop?

Over 2 days students will work with AIM’s Musical Theatre industry professionals – Music Theatre, Course Convenor Stephen Gray, and Academic Lecturer for Music Theatre, Johanna Allen. During the workshop, they will guide students and teach skills used in musical theatre performances.

Ensemble Workshop

Working as an ensemble the company will rehearse and prepare group numbers from classic music theatre shows, integrating movement, story & vocal performance. This repertoire will form the program for the end of the workshop performance.

Dance Workshop

Working with our resident choreographer, participants will begin working on a routine that supports the chosen ensemble repertoire.

Acting Workshop

Deep-diving into acting, students will explore what it means to be a music theatre actor, looking at everything from technique to scene to songwork.

Vocal Workshop

Working as soloists, participants will perform repertoire they have prepared with our Musical Director and be workshopped by faculty. These sessions provide invaluable insights and allow participants to develop their performance skills.

This is your chance to experience what it’s like to study Music Theatre at AIM!
