Fresh from a sold-out residency at Ginger’s (Old Friends Sing Sundays) and two national tours of Choose Bob – celebrating 40 years of Bob Downe**, Rupert Noffs and Bev Kennedy return with a brand-new Broadway-inspired cabaret — joyful, theatrical and deeply personal.
Long-time collaborators with comedy icon Mark Trevorrow, Rupert and Bev have worked continuously on stage for the past three years. This acclaimed run includes Old Friends Sing Sondheim, performed to sold-out audiences across Brisbane, Melbourne and regional New South Wales, followed immediately by Choose Bob — playing major comedy festivals in Brisbane, Perth and Melbourne, and culminating in a sold-out performance at Sydney’s Enmore Theatre.
The regional tour visited some of Australia’s most beautiful historic venues — from Her Majesty’s Theatre, Ballarat to the Theatre Royal, Hobart — with Rupert delighting audiences as Bob Downe’s wide-eyed “nepo-nephew,” Philip McKrevis, and the (occasionally scene-stealing) voice of Siri.
In between touring, Rupert, Bev and Mark returned home to Ginger’s for a sold-out residency of Old Friends Sing Sundays.
Now, BROADWAY, BABY! arrives straight off the back of this extraordinary run — bringing Rupert and Bev back to Ginger’s, Sydney’s purpose-built cabaret jewel on Oxford Street.

A true triple-threat performer, Rupert can land a laugh and break your heart in the same breath — moving effortlessly between comedy and confession, bravado and vulnerability. A trained singer and actor, Rupert is also the grandson of Rev Ted Noffs, legendary humanitarian and founder of the Wayside Chapel and the Noffs Foundation.
With Bev Kennedy — one of Australia’s most in-demand musical directors and a regular collaborator with The Metropolitan Orchestra — Broadway, Baby! features songs by Stephen Sondheim, Kander & Ebb, Alan Menken and other iconic musical theatre composers, woven together with stories of ambition, legacy, loss, joy — and the healing power of music and laughter.
At its heart, BROADWAY, BABY! is a love letter to the idea that dreams don’t have deadlines.
Even when life doesn’t follow the script — the show can still go on.
