Bristol Textile Quarter will showcase both current members and alumni, including published knitwear designers @amberhards and @riaburnsknit , Textile designers @rheanna.tara and @ulterior_motifs , Slow fashion by @perosa_design @justine_d_k_ and @ruthgroundwaterdesigns . BTQ’s own Lizzie Everard, aka @thebettysilk of Great British Sewing Bee fame, will also be showing some of her recent work and chatting about her Sewing Bee experiences.
From 11.00am - 2pm Artist & visible mender @d_u_s_t_a will be joining #meetmakemend , BTQ’s visible mending workshop in conjunction with @sustainablefashionweek_uk and will be bringing her @oxfamgb Vintage Dress Project! - you can book your place by following link in bio.
@southwestenglandfibreshed will be screening their film “Fibreshed - Reconnecting Fashion with Farming” throughout the day and will showcase their sourcebook.
Expect studio tours, demonstrations and opportunities to meet resident makers and try new textile skills from weave to knit to embroidery and maybe buy some products too!
