Media Mavericks: Revolutionising Streaming and Diversity
The second installation of the Bristol Media and Entertainment Mixer will see an expert panel dive into how the future of live experiences will look – as the lines increasingly blur between traditional TV experiences and the future of entertainment driven by social media.
In an age where user-generated content is creating enough momentum that it will eventually slay Hollywood where it stands, how can companies capitalize on the shift of content and advertising revenues to emerging platforms outside the reach of traditional media norms?
Our headline panel features experts from the BBC, ScreenHits TV, Condense, and MTech Sport. Discover the latest trends in streaming experiences, interactivity, consumer demands, and the business and technical strategies shaping tomorrow's streaming landscape.
Preceding this, Rise will lead a lightning chat on diversity in media – addressing the urgent need for inclusion in the broadcast and entertainment industry.
Panels, pints and pizza is our theme – not travelling to London is our dream.
Confirmed panelists:
Nick Fellingham, CEO and Co-founder, Condense
Matt Stagg, MTech Sport
Tanja Lichtensteiger, Director of Product Engineering, BBC
Rose Hulse, CEO and Founder, ScreenHits TV
Sadie Groom, Founder and CEO, Bubble Agency & Rise
More about The Bristol Media and Entertainment Mixer:
Bristol's only destination for the latest innovation in media and entertainment.
Our mission is simple - To put Bristol on the map when it comes to driving innovation in the Media and Entertainment industry.
Why Bristol?
Over the years we've watched the vibrant community of thought leaders and industry experts flourish in the Media and Entertainment realm, within Bristol's borders, but we couldn't ignore the constant exodus to London for networking and engagement. It dawned on us that there was an opportunity to foster meaningful connections right here in our own backyard, eliminating the need for lengthy commutes and bringing our regional talents together in one vibrant hub…which brought us here.
Our foundations:
The Mixer has been brought together by two Bristol-based organisations, both embedded on the frontline of this exciting industry.
Faultline and 5V Video.
Faultline: Faultline delivers vital competitive intelligence for companies involved in pay TV, OTT, digital entertainment, and broadband.
5V Video: 5V Video is instrumental in scaling technical teams for some of the most prominent video platforms in the world.
