Bristol Fire Collective Rules of engagement:
1) Fire spinners please bring your own fuel, toys, dipping bots, speakers, spot lights, fire friendly clothing and smiles.
2) Please take home anything you bring and that includes, but is not limited to: any empty paraffin containers, I had to dispose of fifteen from a previous event and would prefer if everyone can manage their own waste. Leave no trace.
3) The Bristol fire jam is a community lead event, please treat everyone as you would like to be treated and note that there is a zero tolerance policy to any divisive, bullying, racism, homophobic, transphobic and all other behaviours akin to the above.
You will be asked to leave if this behaviour is present, please feel free to come directly to an organiser if you feel unsafe and we will take the appropriate steps to deal with the situation at hand.
4) Members of the public specific: please feel free to come and watch the fire performances in the square. All we ask is that you position yourself along the tree line, don't enter the fire space and be respectful to one another. Most importantly have fun!
5) Photographers specific: you are more than welcome to come and document the event, all we ask is that you ask the performers if they mind being recorded and check in with them regarding how close you can get to them whilst they are performing.
This is done at your own discretion and Bristol Fire Jam can not be held responsible for any mishaps involving equipment, however this has never happened at any of our previous events.
6) Please come along, find a space to sit, introduce yourself to as many friendly faces as possible, socialise, watch the show and enjoy yourselves.
7) Feel free to approach one of the organisers if you have any questions during the event and we will do our best to answer any querries or help facilitate your requests.
Come whether you are a fire spinner or an audience participatent, all are welcome!
