Bristol Ballet is excited to announce the 8th annual Pupcracker event, in partnership with the Sullivan County Animal Shelter! This event is now part of Bristol Ballet’s Animal-Cracker, which also incorporates an adoption event with Tiny Miracles Kitten Rescue. Throughout the years, several critters have found their fur-ever homes at our Animal-Cracker event, where adoptable pets are available in the lobby before and after our Nutcracker shows. There are also doggie cast members in the show itself. This year, we have an extra special story to share! Bristol Ballet’s Artistic and School of Ballet Director, Moira Frazier Ostrander, has an Animal-Cracker success story of her own. Moira and her husband, Ian, recently adopted Dahlia (aka Dolly) from the Sullivan County Animal Shelter as part of the Animal-Cracker 2025 event. Dolly will also appear as a cast member in the Animal-Cracker show on December 13 this year, making her the first Animal-Cracker adopted dog to also be a cast member! Dolly loves her new home. Pictured here is Dolly posing with Maeve Donlon, this year's Clara! Thank you for Paramount Bristol for the photo op!
We look forward to seeing how many other animals can find their future homes at Animal-Cracker this year! If you are considering adding a loyal furry friend to your family, now is the perfect time. Meet your new family member at Animal-Cracker 2025, at our noontime Saturday show on December 13 for dogs (in partnership with Sullivan County Animal Shelter) or at our 5:30pm Saturday show on December 13 for cats (in partnership with Tiny Miracles Kitten Rescue)!
