2024 National Ale Registration for Brisbane is now OPEN. We will release a full itinerary in the coming months, but for now, here's a summary update:Our main ale will take place along the Brisbane river in the heart of the city, and the extension will take us out of the river, through Moreton Bay to Stradbroke Island.
Main ale accommodation will be at the Brisbane City YHA and Stradbroke YHA for the extension.
Friday: meet and greet is at the YHA in Roma St at the Barracks.
Saturday: workshops, followed by dancing along Brisbane's South Bank, stopping at galleries, "The Beach" and assorted pubs.
Saturday ale : upstairs at the Soapbox Beer microbrewery. The grunge ale.
Sunday: dancing up the river through several posh suburbs including Teneriffe, New Farm and ending at Hamilton which is both close to the airport and right were we catch the ferry to the extension tour. Those on extension will ferry to Stradbroke to stay in the island YHA Sunday night.
Monday (Extension): Dancing, swimming, sunbathing, lounging across Stradbroke island.
Tuesday: Ferry back to Brisbane, arriving in Hamilton ready for transport back to the airport.
Ale arrival is from 12pm onward on Friday 27th September, officially ending at 4pm on Sunday 29th.
Extension tour begins 5pm Sunday 29th, officially ending at 10am on Tuesday 1st October.
If you're traveling to Brisbane for a holiday, consider extending your stay on Stradbroke island. It's a nice place!
