For your calendar.You are invited to join us for Brisbane's end-of-year Latin Dance Showcase, a warmup event for both the Brisbane Latin Dance Festival and World Salsa Solo competition. Be entertained by and cheer-on over 38 performances representing multiple dance schools in Brisbane and Gold Coast.
** Venue**
This year, for the comfort of the showcase audience, we are returning to the auditorium at All Hallow's School in Fortitude Valley.
Benefits of this venue include:
- Comfortable tiered seating
- 2 wheelchair spots in the front row
- Large stage with curtained side-stage areas
- Professional lighting and audio (operated by technician)
- A large green room plus bathrooms
- 90 basement car spaces underneath with stairs and lift access
- Open-air piazza for checking in, canapés and for meet & greet
** Showcase & After Party Schedule **
Audience arrival & check-in:
6:15pm - 7:00pm
Seating:
6:45pm - 7:00pm
Showcase:
7:05pm sharp - approx 9pm (includes intermission)
After Party (Salsa & Bachata social dancing):
9pm - midnight (3 hours)
** Is this for me? **
Latin dance enthusiasts, performers, friends, family and colleagues are all welcome and encouraged to join us for the showcase.
Everyone is welcome. You do not need to be a student at Dance Culture nor of any of the other dance schools involved.
After Party: For Salsa and Bachata dancers, we are also hosting 3 hours of social dancing after the showcase (we will play 2 Salsa and 2 Bachata songs in rotation).
** Who will be at the After Party? **
We typically welcome 120 to 180 dancers at each Latin Utopia party. The experience level of the dancers ranges from those who have been dancing for a week to professional instructors. Dancers from all over Brisbane, Gold Coast and Sunshine Coast typically attend. Sometimes even visitors from interstate.

** Car parking **
There are 90 on-site car parking spaces directly below Claver Theatre, accessible from 20 Dodge Ln, Fortitude Valley. There is both a lift and stairs available to move between the carpark and the check-in area. Car parking is free but limited. Other nearby secure car parks include Howard Smith Wharves, Valley Metro, China Town and McWhirter's.
