In this 2-hour workshop, we will explore the secrets of creating realistic fictional characters and bringing them to life on the page. Using a range of fun techniques and group exercises, we will determine not only their names, ages and occupations, but a whole lot more besides! Questions like: Are they kind to their granny? What’s their favourite biscuit? Why are they afraid of the dark? Which one of them is most likely to cheat at cards? Once we know them inside and out, we will throw a few of them together into a story and find out what happens next! This workshop is suitable for anyone aged 14 or over who is writing, or wants to write, original and readable stories of any genre that will engage and entertain their potential readers. No need to bring anything except a pen and paper and a whole lot of imagination
