About this Event

The BBC is very pleased to be part of the Ada Scotland Festival 2022.

Now in its third year, Ada Scotland’s mission is to bring gender balance to computing science in Scotland.

If you're excited by all things tech, then pursuing a career in a STEM related field at the BBC, the world's leading public service broadcaster, is definitely something you should consider. To find out more, come and see us at Pacific Quay, Glasgow, G51on 27th October.

The BBC offers apprenticeships in everything from AI Specialist to UX Designer and many more options in-between.

The application round for our next opportunities (Sept 2023 start) launches in November. In preparation, BBC Scotland, in partnership with the Ada Scot Festival, is holding an in-person event for you to find out, first-hand, what it's like to do an apprenticeship in computer science or tech at the BBC.

With advice on how to complete your application form and real insight into what a career in tech is like in a global media organisation, we'll be joined by current apprentices and the BBC colleagues who recruit them.

There also be the chance to take part in a fun STEM-related challenge!

We're looking forward to seeing you!

Please note: anyone considering an apprenticeship with the BBC must be aged18, or over, when the scheme starts in September 2023.

To gain entry to this event, guests will be required to show photo ID (valid passport; national identity card; driving licence).
