The Bringing Nature Home Native Plant Sale runs Saturday, May 18, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. and Sunday, May 19, from 9 a.m. to noon at the Isle a la Cache Preserve, 501 E. Romeo Road, Romeoville.Join us at the beautiful Isle a la Cache Preserve in Romeoville and shop in person for a wide selection of native plants perfect for the pollinators in your life! While you shop for plants at the pop-up sale, there will be native plant experts on hand to help you select your plants and answer your questions.
With every purchase, you make a difference by supporting land stewardship programs and natural area restoration projects in our Will County forest preserves. Over the years, your native plant purchases have helped to restore thousands of acres of natural areas in Will County, improving the health and vitality of our local ecosystems.
Special just on Saturday, May 18, our friends from Wild Birds Unlimited-Joliet, Will County Audubon Society, Pizzo & Associates, and Good Steward Ecoscapes will be at the event to talk with you about the birds, bees, butterflies and more! Plus, we'll be having some native plant presentations throughout the day on Saturday. And if you're feeling hungry with all that shopping and learning, Grumpy Gaucho will serve up some delicious empanadas on Saturday.
The event is rain or shine, so dress accordingly. Make sure to bring your own box and fill it up as you shop. Cash, checks, and credit cards are accepted. Wear a mask based on your personal preference, informed by your level of risk.
