What is Girls on the Run? Girls on the Run is a transformational physical activity-based positive youth development program for girls in 3rd-8th grade. Our team of local volunteers is working hard to bring a non-profit GOTR Council to serve girls in Lee, Moore, and Hoke Counties.

Who is this event for? All ages! Everyone is welcome to participate in the event offerings and learn more about Girls on the Run!
When: Saturday, March 22
Where: Hugger Mugger Brewing Co. Sanford, North Carolina.
What: An all-ages community kick-off party.
- 2:30 p.m. Shop vendors, socialize, and meet the volunteers working to bring Girls on the Run to the Sandhills.
- 3 p.m. Outdoor, kid-friendly yoga begins, led by the incredible folks at Sanford Yoga and Community Center.
- 4 p.m. Fun run and walk around downtown Sanford, beginning and ending at Hugger Mugger Brewing CO.
- 5 p.m. Cool down with a stretch session, kids' activities, and vendor shopping. Our team will be available to answer any questions.
- 7 p.m. Hugger Mugger's garage bands start performing at 7 p.m., so all are welcome to stay and listen to some music.
Cost: All are welcome to stop by the vendor tents and speak with our team of Girls on the Run volunteers, free of charge. To participate in the yoga and fun run, a $10 donation per person is required. All proceeds will go directly toward bringing Girls on the Run to our community.
