About this Event
Having a baby is one of the most exciting, life-changing experiences a couple can share. It is also one of the hardest—studies show that 67% of couples experience a significant drop in relationship satisfaction after a baby arrives.
But it doesn't have to be that way.
This Bringing Baby Home (BBH) Workshop is a science-based, goal-oriented program designed by the renowned Gottman Institute to help couples thrive during this transition. This 5-week series gives you and your partner the essential skills to navigate this new phase of life together.
What You Will Learn & Take Away:
- Relationship Preservation: Learn how to maintain and deepen your couple's friendship—the best predictor of marital harmony after a new baby.
- Conflict Management: Master effective, gentle communication and conflict resolution tools to reduce hostility and build awareness of your emotional needs.
- Parenting as a Team: Explore your new relationship dynamics and roles, ensuring you are a unified and happy parenting team.
- Fostering Your Baby's Development: Understand how a happy, playful relationship between parents creates a safer environment for your baby, leading to better outcomes (e.g., stronger language skills, less crying, more smiling).
- Mental Health Support: Studies show couples who take this workshop experience a reduced rate of postpartum depression.
