Brimham Rocks are a dramatic series of gritstone boulders that have been weathered over time into fascinating shapes which have attracted many visitors for centuries. They sit on National Trust land on the edge of Brimham Moor in Nidderdale, North Yorkshire. Our route to the rocks will be a 9-mile / 14.5km circular route from the small town of Pateley Bridge. We will take a variety of paths including some road, riverside, farmland, and moorland walking. There is some elevation of 1,245ft / 380m, so there will be some hills! We will also cross a number of stiles and footbridges.
We will walk this route at a moderate pace, but will have a rest / lunch break enroute. Expected total time of 5 hours.
Well behaved, friendly (with other dogs and people), dogs are welcome (max. 2 per person), but please note we are likely to encounter livestock enroute. Dogs must be able to climb stiles or be lifted over them. If using retractable leads, please keep them short to avoid tripping up other participants.
As with all Abigail's Trails, this is a small-group guided walk led by a professional Mountain Leader. Spaces are limited and cost £12 per person.
Accompanied children over the age of 10 welcome.
Please ensure you have read and agreed to our Terms and Conditions and GDPR Privacy Notice prior to booking.
Further instructions and kit list will be emailed to you before the date.
