CCC's Vocal Camp is open to singers grade 9+ who want to immerse themselves in a five-day musical journey to foster growth and inspiration.
About this Event

OVERVIEW

Brilliant Voices Summer Music Camp is a week-long summer music program that's perfect for vocal musicians of all levels who want to improve their skills, sing fun and challenging repertoire, and learn about music theory. Held at the beautiful Niemeyer Center for Performing Arts on the Oregon City campus, students will spend 5 days immersed in a welcoming and creative college-campus setting. Unique to CCC, students are invited to attend the optional evening recording sessions. Record original or cover tunes in our modern studio for a one-of-a-kind camp experience. Directed by Dr. Kathleen Hollingsworth, CCC's Director of Vocal Music. Come as you are; all musical skill levels are welcome!

DAILY SCHEDULE INCLUDES CLASSES IN:

  • fun!

Camp runs from 9 am - 5 pm daily with a Friday evening concert. Optional evening recording session from 6-9 pm.

  • 5:00 PM Day Session Dismissed/Dinner for Evening Session

FRIDAY 8/2

  • 4:00 PM Concert, open to the public

WHO CAN ATTEND?

Registration is open to singers entering grades 9-12, as well as college students and community members. Come as you are; all musical skill levels are welcome!

Reasons to join CCC's singing music camp:

  • Learn new vocal jazz, gospel and choral works in the all-camp choir
  • Collaboratively compose new music in a circle singing group
  • Learn and perform a standard in the evening concert
  • Learn (and understand) music theory
  • Hear guest musicians play and talk about music
  • Make new friends

REGISTRATION/PAYMENT

We accept credit/debit cards. Registration closes on Friday July 19, 2023 at 11:59 p.m. Refunds available by request through Friday July 19, 2023 at 11:59 pm.

If registration is sold out, please add your name to the waitlist. We may be able to open more spots.

WHAT TO BRING

  • Food/Drink - students should bring refillable water bottles and snacks. Bag lunch is encouraged. For an additional $75 CCC will provide a lunch for each day of the week. Students staying for the evening recording session should bring a dinner or money to buy dinner off-campus. (Dietary restrictions will be accommodated within reason.)
  • Clothing - students should wear comfortable clothing and bring a light jacket or sweatshirt, as building temperature may vary.

WHERE TO GO

19600 Molalla Ave, Oregon City, OR 97045

Camp will be held at Clackamas Community College in the Niemeyer Center for Performing Arts. Free parking is available in Yellow Lot 2. Additionally, students may be dropped off/picked up at the loop directly in front of the Niemeyer Center. Students will meet and rehearse in the choir room (N114) each day.
