Brilliant Biomimicry | Grades 3-5

Velcro, waterproofing, winter coats - what do all these things have in common? Their designs were inspired by plants and animals! Students observe a variety of organisms and use what they learn to design their very own solution to everyday problems. 

Some of the guided activities:  

• Discover the traits that animals have that help them survive in their environment. 

• See how animals have provided solutions to real-life problems you may have experienced. 

• Create your own solution to everyday problems using inspiration from animals.
