Join Tori McNally from Avalon Enchanted for a sacred celebration of Imbolc on Saturday, February 1st, from 6:30 to 8:30 PM at the Avalon Enchanted Studio (24 Brown St., Wickford, RI; entrance on Spink St.).
Imbolc, a cherished Celtic holiday, graces the beginning of February each year to honor the revered goddess Brigid. This mystical time signifies the midpoint between the winter solstice and the spring equinox.
Often referred to as St. Brigid’s Day, this occasion intertwines the tales of St. Brigid, a beloved patron saint of Ireland, and the goddess Brigid, heralding the first day of Spring in the northern hemisphere. As we embrace this season, we celebrate the blossoming of hope and new life on our beloved earth. Brigid’s feast day honors the formidable woman who stands as the patroness of healing, the arts, fertility, poetry, prophecy, and agriculture.
