About this Event
If You See Them: Young, Unhoused, and Alone in America written by Vicki Sokolik is a moving exploration of the crisis of homeless youth – told through the inspiring stories of a woman on the frontlines and the kids themselves. Sokolik's grassroots action demonstrates the world-shifting power of compassion, acceptance, belonging, and self-determination, and the capacity each of us has to change our communities for the better.
The goal of this book club is to take an honest and deep look at poverty, homelessness, and the inequities and injustices in America to examine our roles in it, the systems behind it, and how we can work toward solutions that help those affected most.
