About this Event

Altrincham Grammar School for Boys is a State Boys Grammar School in Trafford, near Manchester. The school is undertaking a music tour of London, with this concert being the end of a busy year, which has included award winning performances at the National Concert Band Festival in Warwick and Manchester, Music for Youth National Festival in Birmingham and The Alderley Edge Festival. Brighter sounds will see 50 musicians from the school performing, either with our Session Orchestra or in the combined Choirs.

Camberwell Community Choir was born in 2011. Supported by the SE5 Forum and St Giles’ Church, the choir began to grow and perform locally. Ten years later and our performances include such illustrious venues as the Royal Festival Hall, Theatre Peckham and the Young Vic. We’ve established 2 traditions: Carols around Camberwell (mulled wine in hand) and Silent Film night (where the choir provide the accompaniment to a 1920s classic).

Led by three leaders, Ashley, Matt and Aga, Camberwell Community choir sing anything from 15th Century plainchant to Micheal Bublé and everything in-between.

Founded in 2013 by musical director Leanne Sedin, Sing Tower Hamlets is an East London-based community choir open to shower-singers, seasoned performers and everyone in between! New members are always welcome, and we’d love to have you if you’d like to give it a go. Find out more at www.singtowerhamlets.com.
