About this Event
The Jonathan Foundation has received grant funding from the The Dr’s Bruce and Lee Foundation and the Nemec-Abbott Foundation to provide this conference as the culmination of our work on three projects in support of American Foundation for Suicide Prevention Project 2025 to reduce suicide by 20% by 2025.
The Brighter Days Conference aims to bring conversation and awareness to the following: Conference Agenda
- Implement standardized risk assessment in counseling practice, emergency departments, and primary care settings to make care suicide safe.
- Risk management programs including Harm Reduction and Handle with Care.
- Crisis intervention training for first responders.
- QPR Suicide intervention training for everyone
Our keynote speaker will be Dr. Daniel Amen, the world-renowned founder of Amen Clinic, BrainMD, and Amen University. Amen’s mission is to end mental illness by creating a revolution in brain health. He is dedicated to providing the education, products, and services to accomplish this goal. Amen Clinics has the world’s largest database of brain scans for psychiatry totaling more than 250,000 SPECT scans on patients from 155 countries. He is the founder of BrainMD, a fast growing, science-based nutraceutical company, and Amen University, which has trained thousands of medical and mental health professionals on the methods he has developed. His keynote session will discuss how neuroscience is transforming psychiatry and helping prevent or reverse mental health disorders.
