£10 per person An unrated rapid chess tournament for fun and prizes! Anyone is welcome to join in regardless of age or skill level, novices are welcome. This is an excellent opportunity for newer players to experience a casual tournament environment and to meet other players of similar skill levels. Unfortunately, any under 13's will need to be accompanied by a responsible adult.
The day will consist of 7 rounds of Rapid play, with Swiss-style pairings throughout. Alongside the main tournament we also intend to run side events, including small pods of chess variations and simultaneous games with local expert Ben Edgell!

Please note that as this is a fun, unrated event, noise controls will not be in place, and your wins and losses will not affect your rating. More competitive events are planned for the future.
