NatWest and The British Business Bank are pleased to present this event bringing together entrepreneurs and funding providers across the South West of England.
Research on the general entrepreneurial landscape suggests that access to funding for businesses going from start-up to scale up can sometimes be a challenge. Additionally, feedback from entrepreneurs supported through various enterprise support initiatives highlights a disconnect between the SME landscape and funding providers. Feedback from various sources also suggests that access to information can sometimes act a hindrance to people's entrepreneurial journeys and there can sometimes be a disconnect between funding criteria and the types of businesses the funding is aimed at.
This event is designed for the benefit of both funding providers and entrepreneurs. During this event, funding providers will deliver "reverse pitches" where they raise awareness of the range of services and opportunities they have available for entrepreneurs looking to scale their businesses. Entrepreneurs will also deliver presentations on some of the challenges they have faced when applying for funding within emerging industries such as AI, digital assets and other emerging industries.
Attendees can expect to leave with contacts across a broad range of organisations and also learn about opportunities for growth within some of the most innovative sectors.
