Planning the future of your farm is one of the most important steps you’ll take. Bridging the Gap is uniquely designed to bring multiple generations together for open conversation, shared learning, and a stronger understanding of each other’s perspectives. Attendees will leave with clearer direction, practical tools, and concrete next steps to move their transition forward.
Through interactive sessions, practical exercises, and guided conversations, attendees will:
• Clarify the big picture of farm transition and identify where they are in the journey.
• Learn practical ways to improve conversations across generations, ensuring everyone’s voice is heard.
Explore common roadblocks and discover strategies to overcome them.
• Gain confidence in their understanding of the financial considerations of a farm transition
• Use a guided workbook to map out next steps and begin shaping a transition plan tailored to their farm.
• Identify the right transition team to support their farm now and into the future.
The workshop focuses on collaboration, connection, and action. Participants will leave with a better understanding of their transition journey, 1–3 tangible actions to pursue, and valuable resources to keep the process moving. There will also be plenty of time for discussion, sharing experiences, and learning from other farm families.
Farms of all sizes and commodities are welcome, and farm families are encouraged to attend together. Whether you are just beginning to think about transition or are well into the process, Bridging the Gap offers practical support, peer learning, and meaningful opportunities for farm families to plan together for the future.
