About this Event
Bridging Past, Present and Future in Latin American Health is an initiative organized between the Canadian Association of Latin Medical Students (CALMS UofT) and the Organization of Latin American Students St. George (OLAS St. George), which aims to explore the impact Latin American heritage has made within the realm of healthcare. Our event is a celebration of the past, a reflection on the present and a pathway to the future of Latin American healthcare in the GTA.
This student symposium that will also act as a medium for students interested in networking with Latin healthcare professionals and community health workers.
Join us as we shed light on the social justice and culturally competent perspectives in healthcare. Across the panel discussions and presentations, we plan to showcase the excellent work that Latin researchers, community health workers, and physicians have done to serve our Latin community. Our central goal for the event is to find out as a community what we can learn from these individuals and how we can better serve our community.
