Metal-Organic frameworks (MOFs) provide highly organized porosity within a crystalline framework. 2025 Nobel Prize in chemistry has been awarded to S. Kitagawa, R. Robson, and O.M. Yaghi for their work in development of MOF. This talk will introduce the core science behind MOF development and their real-world applications such as CO2 capture, harvesting water from desert air, gas storage etc. , illustrating how these new molecular architectures are redefining modern chemistry.About the speaker: Ms. Jotsana Kumari is a Research Scholar at the Dept. of Chemical Sciences, TIFR.
