About this Event
February 22nd - Birding Hike 101 Start the morning by hiking in different habitats in the E.M.B.A.R.C Youth Forest. The hike is considered moderate for all ages. We will end the hike with a campfire and s’mores. To get the best bird' s-eye view, please bring your binoculars. We have a limited amount to share if you do not have a pair.
March 8th - The Wonderful World of Beekeeping Learn the basics about the importance of bees to Mother Earth. Then, climb into a bee suit and learn Beekeeping 101 with E.M.B.A.R.C. Beekeeper Ed Morgan. If you are allergic to bee stings, an EpiPen is required.
March 22nd - Tree Planting 101 Learn the basis of tree and shrub planting by helping Ranger Sherrie plant fruit trees and blueberry bushes in the Youth Farm Orchard.
April 5th - Planning a Spring Garden Join our gardening expert, who will teach the gardening basics to prepare a raised bed for a beautiful Spring Garden. We will provide gloves and gardening tools.
