About this Event
RTA School of Media at The Creative School (Toronto Metropolitan University) in collaboration with Universidade Federal de Pernambuco (UFPE) in Receife, Brazil presents The Bridges Simultaneous Film Festival.
The Bridges Festival will showcase six student films, three from TMU and three from UFPE, highlighting the creativity and unique perspectives of emerging filmmakers across Brazil and Canada. The screenings will bring together audiences from both countries, building a bridge of dialogue and cultural exchange through cinema.
The following films will be screened:
Canadian Selection:
- Tick (2024) by Adrien Marquet
- Excursion Around The Bay (2024) by Isaac Oxley
- Strings (2025) by Ella Strilec
Brazilian Selection:
- Papel de Parede (2023) by Duda Cavalcanti
- Sertão 2138 (2024) by Deuilton B. Júnior
- Trincheiras (2025) by Lucas da Rocha & Maria Clara Almeida
