Bridgeland Community Run/Walk for Heroes 2024

This Bridgeland Community Fun Run/Walk for Heroes will be held October 12, 2024, at 8 am at the Lakeland Village Festival Park in Bridgeland in Cypress, TX. The event will include a 8:00 am 10k run, 5k run/walk around Josey Lake & Park AND at 9:00 am, a children's 1k run along the Bridgeland Lake, along with booths to visit our sponsors, entertainment, and activities for the children. Only the children's walk is open to strollers and wagons, the 5k & 10k are not open to strollers or wagons.

Fee is $35 for 5K adults and $40 for 10K adults with a non-refundable Early Bird discounted fee of $30/35, respectively, if you register before Aug 7th. Children are $25 or less depending on the number of children per family. (Processing fees apply) Race fee includes TShirt, water, gatorade, iced hand towel, bananas, bagels, and cream cheese at the finish line for participants. Extra cost for ** or XXX size shirts.

Rules: Trophies will be awarded to the top 3 biological males and top 3 biological females 5K and 10k runners. 1st Place Prize to first biological boy and biological girl of 1K race/walk. Packet Pick up will occur only Friday, October 11th from 12-7pm at Festival Park in the pavilion, across from Lakeland Activity Center located at 16902 Bridgeland Landing Drive, Cypress, TX 77433. However, if you cannot make packet pick up on Friday you may pick up on Saturday 7-7:30 am at the Lakeland Village Festival Park Pavilion. Registration will close Thursday, October 10th @ 5:00 pm. For a $10 extra fee per ticket, there will be late registration on Friday October 11th at Packet Pickup and Saturday morning October 12, 7:00- 7:30 am, at Lakeland Village Festival Park. (Registrations after October 5th are not guaranteed a participant's shirt and/or size shirt due to possible supply chain issues.)

The Bridgeland Community Supports Veterans, Inc is a 501(c) entity that is organized to:

1) Raise funds to build a $1.5 million dollar Veterans Memorial in the Bridgeland Community in Cypress, Texas

2) Support Immediate needs for Veterans in the Community, and

3) Continue our Veterans Memorial Day, Veterans Day Festivals, and Thanksgiving Turkeys for Veterans.

Honor your Hero by entering the name, rank, & branch of service, of the veteran or active service member you would like to honor, in your registration! We will create signs along the race course to honor their service.

What To Wear: Because you will be running, light clothing (weather appropriate) is suggested, along with a great pair of athletic shoes! You must wear your bib number in order to run or walk. Flip flops and sandals will not be allowed on the paths for safety reasons.

Where To Park: You can park along Bridgeland Landing Dr, or in the back of the Activity Center parking lot on Bridgeland Landing Dr. The Race is located at 16902 Bridgeland Landing Dr, next to Lakeland Village Festival Park. No parking on neighborhood streets.

By participating in the fun, you grant us permission to take and use photographs of you or your children that are participating. The Fun Run/Walk for Heroes is a rain or shine event. However, should severe weather prevent the race from taking place, no refunds will be issued, and all fees collected will be considered a donation to The Bridgeland Community Supports Veterans, Inc. Except for Early Bird Registration, if the Fun/Run Walk is canceled before 10/11/2024, refunds will be granted upon request, except for Eventbrite's processing fees. Request your refund through the Eventbrite site. However, your donation is appreciated.

Any law enforcement officer has the authority to shut down the event in the interest of public safety!
