The event will be open to the public and free to attend all funds received will go towards programming & equipment costs.

Bridge To Skate is a 501(c)(3) public charity that uses skateboarding to transform the lives of youth by creating dynamic new paths to self-confidence personal empowerment and responsibility for each other and their communities.

Working in fifteen different nations our students come from communities of color backgrounds of low socio-economic status and lives defined by gangs and institutionalization.

Domestically Bridge To Skate offers monthly skateboard contests bi-monthly outings and three free after-school programs in South and South Central Los Angeles: all at no cost. Midweek our youth receive homework help mental health assistance and meals through our programming. We collaborate with other local organizations as well as the LA Unified School District to offer skateboard art-clinics learn-to-skate clinics and a Youth Empowerment Program. Aspects of our LA program are replicated throughout the nation.

Internationally Bridge To Skate has built two small skateboard parks a playground and an elementary school in Honduras. To support skateboarding globally Bridge To Skate hosts at least five contests a year outside of the United States as well as learn-to-skate clinics. Bridge To Skate also has three flourishing skateboard schools in Guatemala Paraguay and Colombia.

The largest demographic for our programs are at-risk and foster teens which historically is the most difficult group for outreach. Through skateboarding the youth in our programs are learning the tools they need to succeed in life. Serving more than 150 youths in our Los Angeles programs daily Bridge To Skate is continuing to build futures through the power of skateboarding.
