About this Event
Bridge Communities is a dynamic, grassroots, non-profit organization committed to transforming the lives of families facing homelessness through partnering with talented, resourceful individuals and groups in our community. Bridge Communities serves over 100 families every year-- empowering them on their move towards self-sufficiency.
Join us in planting 24 native trees throughout Pershing Ave to increase the neighborhood's tree canopy cover and improve the community green spaces for families.
No experience is necessary and everyone is welcome! We will provide training on how to properly plant and care for trees. As a volunteer, you will work alongside the CRTI team and other fantastic residents and volunteers to help us dig holes, plant trees, mulch, and water.
- Please wear long pants and close toed shoes
- Dress for the weather- we will plant rain or shine!
- Make sure to bring a full water bottle, snack, and sunscreen. We will take care of everything else!
