Join Young Engineers for a one-of-a-kind Bricks and Pizza event where fun and learning come together! This exciting, hands-on session takes place 10:30 a.m.-1 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 26 in the Preschool Multipurpose Room at Park Place Family Recreation Center, 550 S. Park Blvd., and dives into the mysterious forces that are all around us every single day — centripetal and centrifugal force.Through an engaging LEGO® model build, your child (ages 6-12) will explore how these forces work together to keep things moving in circles — from car tires gripping the road to planets orbiting the sun! Our interactive lesson transforms complex engineering and physics concepts into something kids can see, touch, and understand.
With guidance from our certified Young Engineers instructors, participants will:
• Build a working LEGO® model that demonstrates these fascinating forces in action.
• Experiment and discover how motion and balance work in the real world.
• Strengthen problem-solving and critical-thinking skills — while having a blast!
• Oh, and we’ll also slip in a few games as well.
And when the learning is done, it’s time to relax and celebrate their hard work with pizza and new friends! Give your child a chance to learn, build, and play in a fun, educational environment that sparks curiosity and creativity. Open to the first 20 to register — cost is $35 per child. Sign up today and let your child experience the science of motion like never before!
