Talk 1 - The new Hendrick’s Gin Palace - Andy Neal & Andy Sharlot
Step inside the story of the new Hendrick’s Gin Palace, a stunning architectural landmark set within Scotland’s most prestigious grain whisky distillery. This talk will showcase how IG Masonry Support played a key role in delivering the project’s most striking features — its intricate brick arches.
From the soaring corbelled arches that define the entrance façade, through to the elegant glasshouse entrances and the deep soffit arches framing the copper stills inside, every detail was designed to reflect both tradition and innovation. Attendees will hear how prefabricated solutions allowed the team to achieve complex bond patterns and seamless connections with onsite brickwork, reducing time and labour while ensuring a flawless finish.
This session will provide valuable insight into how collaboration between architects, engineers, and specialist suppliers can bring bold designs to life, blending classical detail with modern precision to create a unique and iconic space for one of the world’s most recognisable brands.
