On Friday June 20th, Vancouver-based comedian Brian Patafie will be returning to Saint John and Punch Lines Comedy Club bringing his FUNNY AS PUCK Tour 2025 Edition to the Sydney Street venue.
Just over three years ago Brian finished a 44-year career as an athletic trainer in professional hockey including almost 20 years with the Calgary Flames. He also spent three years here in the Port City with the AHL's Saint John Flames Flames from 1993-1996 before moving on to the NHL. Brian kept notes and following his hockey career he turned those notes into a standup comedy routine and has shared not only his hockey stories but his dysfunctional life stories all across North America as well as on a multi city, multi show tour of the United Kingdom back in October of 2022. Brian was asked by Sportsnets Ken Reid on why he left the Flames back in 1999 and Brian's trademark reply was « medical reasons… management got sick of me!"
