It is not possible to celebrate 25 years of great music without looking back and acknowledging the Vernon Jazz Club’s roots. From humble beginnings involving regular jam sessions in the basement of a local hotel, to a vibrant and active jazz society in an enviable heritage venue. All along the way the goal has always been making great music available for the Vernon / North Okanagan community.
To celebrate this journey, we are turning the stage over to our former artistic director and beloved musician, Brian McMahon. Expect this musical experiment to feel a lot like a family reunion, as Brian gathers and features many of the Okanagan Valley’s musical celebrities who at one time have played on our stage. Three sets of music magic await. And hugs.
