It all began with the iconic Australian band The Groop in 1966.
Then came the next six decades, which included: co-forming Australia’s first supergroup Axiom; a prestigious career as a solo artist; being Head of A&R and Chief Producer of Fable Records and running Bootleg Records; a move to Los Angeles to be signed by Capitol Records; long-term extensive work and involvement in the development of the international music scene; a relocation to Nashville to join the enormous explosion of country music; joining the legendary Flying Burrito Brothers; touring extensively through the US and Europe; returning home to Australia in 1997 where he has carried on rocking and playing to audiences nationwide.
In 2007 Brian Cadd was inducted into both the Aria Hall of Fame and the Songwiters Hall of Fame.
In 2018 he was awarded an Order of Australia (AM), which he described as "an amazingly different kind of honour".
In April 2024 he released his latest album Dream Train.
In July 2024 Brian Cadd plays Kalamunda.
