About the Programme/Event
Find out how to make this popular fermented drink in your own home!
What you will learn:
- Equipment and set-up required
- Steps for brewing kombucha
- How to increase/reduce fizziness
- How to flavour your kombucha
This is not a 'live' demo or hands-on workshop, but a detailed presentation that will equip you with the know-how to make great-tasting kombucha. Please note that no starter kits will be provided at this session. Home brewers are welcome to share their experiences!
This programme is suitable for adults and seniors.
About the Speaker
Pearly Ma is a librarian at NLB. Her job includes bringing sustainable programmes to seniors at the libraries. She started making kombucha after a friend passed her a starter in December 2021 and has brewed over 30 batches to date. She also makes ginger beer, another fantastic fermented home-brew!
