As part of Belgian Beer Week, we are bloody stoked to be able to host the launch of a new Belgian inspired brewing project, La Petit Rocher (LPR). The brainchild of Brissy beer legends, Ian and Rocky, LPR applies modern twists to classic Belgian styles. Get down the lane on Wednesday July 17 for Bloody Bonza Belge to get a first taste of LPR.La Petit Rocher crafts beer dedicated to the ‘Bon Vivant’ - the lover of good times and luxurious experience. Specializing in contemporary Belgian-inspired brews, each beer brings a touch of elegance and sophistication to every moment. Blending traditional European brewing techniques with modern hop varieties and stylistic hybrids, each LPR beer becomes a special occasion in itself.
The passion project of two veterans of the Australian beer industry, Rachelle (Rocky) Reed and Ian Watson, every sip of LPR is a toast to the good times. Together Ian and Rocky have over 35 years industry experience and share a deep love for Belge inspired brews. Rocky is La Petit Rocher (the little rock) and is Ian’s inspiration, muse and enabler. Her constant encouragement to brew his Saison’s has been the bane of many of his former employers!
On Wednesday July 17, Saccharomyces Beer Café will tap the first four creations of La Petit Rocher. Join Ian and Rocky at the bar for a casual chat about their brews (or anything Saison!) from 5:00pm. If you like your beer education a little more structured, grab yourself an LPR paddle and join in a guided tasting on the long table at 6:30pm to get all the nitty gritty details of these amazing beers.
