After more than 25 years of dedicated service, Brent Creelman has retired as our Director of Operations. This marks the end of an era for the Friends of the Maritime Museum and the Junior Sailing Program, where Brent has long been the steady hand, the welcoming smile, and the unwavering heart behind our mission.Since joining the organization over two decades ago, Brent has been much more than a leader, he has been the face of the Friends, a mentor to generations of sailors, and a tireless advocate for the preservation of maritime history. His deep knowledge, passion and commitment have shaped the lives of countless families, staff, volunteers and community members.
Whether overseeing the day-to-day operations, organizing events, cook offs, board meetings, regattas, or simply sharing stories at the Watercraft Center, Maritime Museum or Gallants Channel, Brent's presence has been a constant source of inspiration. His impact is etched into every aspect of our programs and his legacy will continue to guide us for years to come.
Although Brent is retiring as our Director of Operations, he will not be far away from the Friends and the Museum, working in a part-time role during this transition.
Please join us in celebrating Brent’s remarkable career and contributions on November 7th, 5:00pm - 7:00pm at the Watercraft Center.
Thank you Brent, for your leadership, your dedication, your heart and your decades of service. You will always be part of our crew!
We wish Brent and wife Kelli fair winds and following seas as they sail into the retirement sunset!
