Brenau University Learning & Leisure Institute 2025-2026 Lecture Series presents Human Trafficking – Slavery in Today’s World at 7 P.M. Tuesday, August 26, 2025 at Brenau University's Thurmond-McRae Lecture Hall, adjacent to the Brenau Trustee Library.
Judge Richard W. Story addresses the current state of human trafficking in the United States and its prevalence our region, the forms that it takes and the ways in which people become victims of it. He also highlights efforts to curb human trafficking as well as programs to assist the victims. Judge Story serves as a Senior District Judge on the United States District Court for the Northern District of Georgia. He was appointed to the court in February 1998 and took Senior Status in December 2018.
