Breathwork for Recovery with Nathaniel Hodder-Shipp at Azalea Jane Salon

Our goal at Azalea Jane Salon is to foster a space for beauty, art, and right relationships. One of our regular, donation based community offerings is a community breathwork - soundbath circle.

Joining beauty+ wellness together in a warm, accessible environment, breathwork and sound can help you release stress, promote self-discovery, and restore balance to your mind, body, and soul. This active meditation process is popular amongst both athletes and mystics harnessing the physiological and mystical benefits of mindful breathing for bringing balance to the body at every level.

Nathaniel Hodder-Shipp, B.Msc, CADC-II (he/him), is President and Founder of Breathwork for Recovery and has worked as a professional healer for almost 15 years. Using an arsenal of techniques with a special focus on breathwork, Nathaniel has helped thousands of people process trauma, disarm negative thought patterns, and maintain healthy and happy relationships with themselves and loved ones. Nathaniel’s client base ranges from those seeking relief from everyday anxiety to people suffering from severe emotional and physical trauma and desperate for help; his specialty includes working in addiction treatment facilities to help accelerate clients’ journey to recovery.
He is a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor Level II with CCAPP, a certified sex educator via Everyone Deserves Sex Ed (EDSE), and a graduate of The Fundamentals of Astrology Years I-III with Austin Coppock. His practice is rooted in contributing to the dismantling of the imperialist white supremacist capitalist patriarchy. With this unique perspective and skillset, Nathaniel works full time helping empower people to make the necessary changes in their lives toward long-term health and happiness.
He has helped develop a 1000-hour Breathwork Clinician Certification – the most comprehensive in the field – and has recently founded The American Breathwork Association to develop equity, ethics and regulation in the field of breathwork.

No prior experience is necessary to participate in this event. Just come as you are, with an open mind and a willingness to let go. Whether you’re seeking stress relief, emotional healing, or simply a moment of tranquility, our community breathwork and sound bath event is the perfect opportunity to unwind and connect with like-minded individuals in a relaxed setting. This gathering harness the power of shared experience to foster a sense of connection to your inner-world.

Meditation blankets will be provided. Please bring yoga mat/extra blanket, journal, water bottle as well as an eye cover and anything else you may need to support your experience.
