About this Event
This October, the stunning South Coast of New South Wales, where forest meets ocean, will play host to a vibrant and inspiring weekend of dance workshops especially designed for people aged 50 and over.
Breathe, Move, Belong is a first-of-its-kind gathering that brings together two dynamic dance communities: the renowned GOLD (Growing Old Disgracefully) dancers from Canberra Dance Theatre, and the local Wellbeing In Motion 50+ dancers from Batemans Bay.
This creative collaboration offers participants the opportunity to explore a rich program of movement workshops that centres around joy, expression, and connection.
Workshops will feature various styles of dance, improvisation and gentle somatic practices, inviting older adults to engage deeply with their bodies, with each other, and with the surrounding natural beauty of the South Coast.
Whether youโre a seasoned dancer or simply curious to reconnect with your body in a supportive and inspiring environment, this is an opportunity to move, create, and belong.
