Join Lindsey Melton, functional movement and breathwork specialist, and Kerry Hinds, ERYT & Relax and Renew Certified Trainer, for this 2 hour special workshop to embrace deep Autumn and the urge to get cozy and comfy.
We can embrace deep Autumn by moving with the rhythm of nature, slowing down, and breathing & practicing yoga mindfully. Using the breath as a reminder of your innate rhythms can balance the need for calm and the busy-ness of life.
Lindsey will lead you through various breath awareness and exploration practices to highlight how your breath can impact your awareness, state, and nervous system.
Following the breathwork exercises, you will feel calm and regulated. This is the prefect time to explore an easeful restorative yoga practice with Kerry. Restorative yoga poses use many props to support the body, allowing it to completely let go and move into the relaxation response (aka the parasympathetic nervous system). You will experience gentle and subtle deep release as you hold comfortable & supported postures for many minutes.
The final 10-15 minutes Kerry will lead you through Yoga Nidra, progressive deep relaxation where the body, mind, and soul can rest deeply and rejuvenate.
After we practice we will have some time to connect, drink ayurvedic tea, and eat some chocolate!
You will leave this special class feeling deeply rested while also balanced, nourished, and in rhythm with nature.
