About this Event
are bringing parents, babies, and local support services together at the new Alexandra Park Environment Centre to celebrate breastfeeding in public, and showcase local support across Oldham and neighbouring boroughs.
Breastfeeding in Public Day was created to help normalise breastfeeding and build confidence for parents feeding their babies. Whether you’re breastfeeding now, planning ahead, or simply curious, this event is for you.
Relaxed, family-friendly celebration
Alongside supportive conversations and information, there’ll be gentle craft activities and soft play for little ones (children must be supervised), creating a calm, enjoyable space for families to spend time together.
Free breastfeeding portrait photoshoot
You’ll also have the opportunity to take part in a free breastfeeding portrait, offering a beautiful, empowering keepsake to celebrate your feeding journey (completely optional).

- Session 2: 11.30am - 1pm
This event is kindly supported by Oldham Council. We work alongside health teams across Oldham, Tameside, Rochdale, and other parts of Greater Manchester to support families from pregnancy until children reach the age of five.
While hosted in Oldham, families from neighbouring areas are very welcome. Expect a friendly atmosphere, supportive conversations, and the chance to connect with other parents and professionals.
